The hydrophobic suede leather and airy fabric uppers deliver exceptional breathability, while the TEXAPORE O3 internal membrane guarantees waterproofing and a pleasant wear climate. The boot is equipped with our own VIBRAM MOUNTAIN TREK sole.

In general, our waterproof footwear features a waterproof and breathable membrane incorporated into the footwear in a ‘bootie’ construction. The membrane bootie encapsulates the foot from the sole upwards and extends to about two thirds of the height of the uppers. Our TEXAPORE footwear utilises a 4-layer laminate, which consists of a support fabric (mesh), the membrane itself, a backing fabric and the lining material. The two versions of TEXAPORE, TEXAPORE O2 and TEXAPORE O3, differ in terms of membrane performance and backing fabrics and have different moisture vapour transmission rates (breathability). In the O3 version, the use of open-pored backing fabrics and a more high performance membrane produces a 50% higher moisture vapour transmission rate. VIBRAM MOUNTAIN TREK

A specialist trekking sole unit, developed exclusively for JACK WOLFSKIN in collaboration with the renowned Italian sole manufacturer VIBRAM. It features on all the boots in our Trekking and Hiking collection. VIBRAM MOUNTAIN TREK footwear is perfect for short or multi-day hikes and treks with a medium to heavy pack. The sole has four key characteristics: 1. The core component is the shank, which connects the uppers and outsole and is responsible for overall stiffness and torsional rigidity. Trekking models utilise Nylon Full Shanks, while Lowcut models incorporate more flexible ‘Redboards’. 2. Beneath the shank is an EVA midsole, which provides the cushioning. 3. The outsole consists of a premium quality, extremely abrasion resistant rubber compound with specially configured tread blocks providing a good grip on various types of terrain. 4. The removable EVA footbed is anatomically shaped.
