To make this possible, we developed an upper which reaches well over the ankle, to provide extra insulation and improved grip. In addition, by using synthetic materials, we made it lighter and easier to care for than a leather boot. The toe and heel caps have an extra abrasion resistant coating for increased robustness at no extra weight. Additional insulation is provided by the combination of warm lining, lightweight interlining and heat reflecting aluminium footbed.

Our new FREEZER sole is specially designed for hiking and other activities in deep snow and icy conditions. Full weather protection is taken care of by the waterproof and exceptionally breathable TEXAPORE O2 membrane.
